Clemson University’s Medicaid Information Technology Services (MITS) team is seeking an experienced Internet/Web Engineer – Advanced to support the development and ongoing maintenance of the State’s EDI Services framework and the Medicaid Web Portal application . This project team is responsible for developing and supporting core framework functionality that enables critical Medicaid system operations for the State’s Department of Health and Human Services (SCDHHS).
The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on expertise in Tapestry, JavaScript, jQuery, JDBC, and EDI Transactions , with strong experience supporting enterprise web applications in large-scale environments.
· Develop, enhance, and support web application framework functionality for the State’s EDI Services and Medicaid Web Portal .
· Support and maintain EDI transaction workflows and integration processes across enterprise systems.
· Build and troubleshoot UI functionality using JavaScript and jQuery within established application frameworks.
· Work with data connectivity and integration using JDBC and related technologies.
· Collaborate with technical teams, project stakeholders, and oversight leadership to ensure stable and scalable delivery.
· Participate in system troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of application issues.
· Follow secure development practices and comply with project documentation and change control standards.
· Support production and non-production environments as required for project deliverables.
